Introduction
Vietnam Food
Association, formely Vietnam Food Import-Export Association, was established on
November 16, 1989, based in Ho Chi Minh City. It is a social and occupational
organization of Vietnam enterprises operating in the field of production,
processing, and trading on food, agricultural produces and other products
processed from food. It was established on basis of voluntariness and mutual
profits, aiming at coordinating its members in manufacturing, importing -
exporting food, food products and trade promotion. Besides, it is to cooperate
with other economic organizations, commodities associations, local and foreign
investors on food and food products to promote export, to increase the business
efficiency and to protect the legitimate interests of its members.
Now, the
Association's member export more than almost 98% annually compared with the
total amount of food exported nationwide. Vietnamese high quality rice is found
in almost every market in the world such as Asia, Europe, America, Africa,
Middle East, etc. It not only meets the customers' demand but also gains the
buyers' cofidence worldwide.
