The government of China decided to maintain import quotas for rice, wheat, corn, and cotton in 2020 at the previous year's level, reports Reuters citing the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).

The rice import quota will be maintained at 5.4 million tons, and one-third of this will be allotted to the state-owned traders.

The cotton import quota will be maintained at 894,000 tons, and one-third of this will be allotted to the state-owned traders.

The wheat import quota will be maintained at 9.36 million tons, and 90% of this will be issued to the state-owned traders.

The corn import quota will be maintained at 7.2 million tons, and 60% of this will be issued to the state-owned traders.
